In late 1991, Earth, Wind & Fire returned to Warner Brothers and renewed its relationship with longtime manager Bob Cavallo, exited about the prospect of igniting the flame again, aware that (as this retrospective so deftly illustrates) they are building upon a an illustrious legacy of brilliant music. It’s music that, over a 20 year period has influenced countless artists and performers and assured Earth, Wind & Fire of a permanent place in the annals of contemporary popular culture.
